East Cobb Resident Publishes Debut Children’s Book

Author Alison Broderick and Illustrator Mina Anguelova join together to create a lighthearted children’s book about the importance of dental hygiene.

  • Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) December 11, 2017 – Samuel Stanley Scotty Snight, a new book by East Cobb resident Alison T. Broderick, has been released by Willow Moon Publishing Co.Samuel Stanley Scotty Snight is a redheaded, freckle-faced, chubby second grader who loves to eat. From potatoes and steak to cookies and cake, he is passionate about mealtime. Unfortunately, good dental hygiene does not interest Samuel as much as satisfying his hunger. He will not brush his teeth at night, and consequences soon follow.

“I wrote Samuel Stanley Scotty Snight over 20 years ago, when I was 17 years old. The idea was to create a fictional character to whom children could relate, while teaching them an important life lesson,” said Broderick. “Most important, I wanted to write a story that would encourage laughter. There is nothing sweeter than the sound of a child’s laugh.”

Featuring detailed and vibrant illustrations by Mina Anguelova, Samuel Stanley Scotty Snight is a lighthearted picture book with an underlying-lesson hook. This book captures young readers with its vivid artwork, witty rhymes, relatable message and problem-solution writing style. “Willow Moon Publishing Co. is delighted to add Samuel Stanley Scotty Snight to its repertoire of books,” said Jodi Stapler, co-founder of Willow Moon Publishing Co., based out of Lancaster, Penn. “Broderick and Anguelova deliver a fun story with a timeless theme. I wish it had been around when my boys were little. It may have made brushing their teeth a little bit less of a headache.”

Samuel Stanley Scotty Snight is expected be a family favorite in homes, dentists’ and doctors’ offices, classrooms and beyond.
